OpenAI pauses new subscriptions to the $200/month ChatGPT Pro plan; existing users can still renew OpenAI’s Help Center confirms: starting September 10, 2026, new purchases and upgrades to the $200 Pro plan (Pro 20X) are temporarily paused, including upgrades from Free, Go, Plus and the $100 Pro plan. This isn’t a complete shutdown of Pro:
